Application of BOPPPS teaching method in clinical teaching of optometry

BOPPPS教学法在眼视光学临床教学中的应用

Abstract:

Objective To explore the effect of applying the BOPPPS teaching method to clinical teaching of optometry in order to improve the quality of clinical teaching of optometry. Methods This paper adopted a randomized experimental design. Forty internship students of clinical optometry in The Second People's Hospital of Jinan from June 2022 to January 2023 were selected for the study and were divided into two groups, 18 students in the control group and 22 students in the experimental group. In the control group, 6 males and 12 females, aged (22.0±0.7) years, received the traditional teaching method; in the experimental group, 8 males and 14 females, aged (22.0±0.6) years, received the BOPPPS teaching method. The teaching effects of the two groups were compared by means of theoretical test, experimental operation assessment, and questionnaire survey. Independent sample t test was used for the measurement data and χ2 test was used for the count data. Results The learning enthusiasm, clarity of learning objectives, practical operation opportunity, thinking and analyzing abilities, and learning satisfaction of the experimental group were better than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (all P<0.05). The practical score [(94.36±4.28) points], theoretical score [(79.55±4.45) points], and total score [(85.47±3.73) points] of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group [(90.28±3.77) points, (75.28±7.70) points, and (81.28±5.20) points], with statistically significant differences (all P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with the traditional teaching method, BOPPPS teaching method can improve the learning performance and learning effectiveness in the internship students.

摘要:

目的 为提高眼视光学临床教学质量,探讨将BOPPPS教学法应用于眼视光学临床教学中的效果。方法 本文采用试验对照方法,选取2022年6月至2023年1月济南市第二人民医院眼视光学临床实习生40名为研究对象,随机分成对照组(18名)和试验组(22名)。对照组男6名、女12名,年龄(22.0±0.7)岁,采用传统教学法;试验组男8名、女14名,年龄(22.0±0.6)岁,采用BOPPPS教学法。通过理论测试、实验操作考核、问卷调查形式对两组教学效果进行比较。计量资料采用独立样本t检验,计数资料采用χ2检验。结果 试验组学生学习积极性、学习目标明确度、实操机会、思考及分析问题能力、学习满意度均优于对照组,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。试验组学生的实操成绩[(94.36±4.28)分]、理论成绩[(79.55±4.45)分]、总评成绩[(85.47±3.73)分]均高于对照组[(90.28±3.77)分、(75.28±7.70)分、(81.28±5.20)分],差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论 相比于传统教学法,BOPPPS教学法能够提高实习生的学习成绩和学习成效。
