Abstract:

Objective To remind clinicians to pay attention to the superposition of adverse drug reactions when using combination drugs. Methods This paper reports the data of 2 cases of liver injury caused by Gukang capsules combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Literature review was conducted to analyze the correlation and pathogenesis of liver function injury caused by the drugs. Results The liver function of the two patients returned to normal after withdrawal of Gukang capsules and non-steroidal drugs and treatment with hepatoprotective drugs. Both of them scored 7 points on the causality assessment form, and the correlation was judged as very likely. Conclusion It is necessary to strengthen liver function monitoring and pay attention to the adverse reactions of liver injury when patients take Gukang capsules and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Key words: Drug-induced liver injury, Gukang capsules, Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, Adverse reactions
